Donald Trump walked off a cliff.   His performance last night at the Al Smith dinner was a disaster. It proved that Donald is really just a jerk from Queens in a cheap suit and doesn't know how to behave in polite Manhattan society.  He stayed on course for a few minutes but then veered off into a weathering criticism of Hillary. A no no for a roasting event. And not one sign of artfulness in his presentation. And at one fell stroke he disenfranchised himself from New York Catholics by saying Hilary hated Catholics.  How he could have uttered this at the Al Smith (Catholic) event is unimaginable.
