North Korea. I just can't get it out of my head. And with good reason. I'm old enough to remember when it started. I was 15 and had just finished a week-long hike through the Adirondacks with my brother Lee. We parted and I walked to the Trailways bus stop, ready to return to my home town of Ossining, New York.
Entering the men's room to get ready for a long ride, I saw a copy of the NY Daily News on the sink top, "declaring war." War? We just finished World War II five years earlier.  But it was a war, killing about 35,000 of our soldiers and literally millions of North and South Koreans as well as Chinese. But the war didn't end. Sixty seven years later we are still technically at war with North Korea. It was a pitched battle battle between Communism and the "Free World." One thing hasn't changed: China's involvement and their goal to become a world-dominant Communist power.
In 1950, it was outright war, but now it's their steadfast support of Kim Jong- un. China is simply using North Korea as a surrogate to distract us politically, financially and militarily. I'll be writing more about this issue in my blog, (politicsandfactsyouneedtoknow.blogspot.com).
